When I grow up . . .

Today Leah and I planted a flower garden for preschool. When we were done she said, "Mom, when I grow up I want to be a mom who works in the garden a lot. "

Moving In

Image
Well, last time we moved to a new house, back in 2008, our family looked like this: We grew a little bit in the almost 8 years we lived there, in a lot of ways. And here we were on our last day there. Our little dollhouse. We laughed and cried there, buried cats and chickens and flushed fish there, broke arms, had surgery, sweated, fretted, relied on the Lord and the ward, and grew. Our final act before leaving to live in our friends' basement for a week between houses was to tour the house together, and then all crowd into one of the loft closets and immortalize ourselves and the time we spent in our first real home. Or so we thought. Poor Nate had forgotten the attachment for the bike trailer. So we found ourselves with six people, four bikes, and a double stroller with no front wheel. It was a bummer for sure. I suggested that we all just walk, but Nate felt the need for biking, so Addison and Bryn and I hopped on our bikes and Nate decided to run and push Leah and Asa in the two-wheeled stroller. I'm sure we were quite a sight. It worked...

Temple Square Visit

Image
Nate invited us down for a little spring break visit to his work. The kids were excited to play on the dinosaur playground, and I was excited to see all the flowers. The gardens and trees are just breathtaking this time of year.
