Addison has been in our city's track program over the last two months and has loved it! It's been a great way for him to get out his extra energy. At track practices he could choose to do sprints, distance, or field. He usually did distance, and it was really impressive to see how many miles those kids would log each time. The distance kids easily did three miles per practice. There were three meets, all at our local high school, and it was fun to cheer him on in his events. Here's part of the Addison Fan Club having dinner in the stands. At each meet he could choose 3 events to participate in. His very favorite was the 1600, which is 4 times around the track, or a mile. He also always did the 800, which is 2 laps, or half a mile. Here are his times. We were so impressed when we compared the times from his first meet with the ones from the last. He really improved! May 2: 400- 1.37.96 800- 3.45.43 1600- 8.19.43 May 16: 50- 9.49 800- 3.48...

Toward the end of the summer the kids were really into having their quiet time downstairs. The legos were put to good use on these days. The arctic. Though Bryn and I stayed home and frantically cleaned for a showing, I heard that Leah was a top-notch cheerleader as Dad pushed the stroller. Asa counteracted her efforts by grabbing the front wheel of the stroller from time to time. The racers. They each took 3rd in their age group.     The very last day of summer, we visited the airplane museum. It is so close to our house, and it's free! It was fun to spend a half hour looking at planes and helicopters. The kids enjoyed choosing planes to have their picture taken by.
