Birthday table with Leah STEM night My sweet little preschoolers Bryn couldn't take Leah's messy grass hair anymore. So she put it in a ponytail. Each sticker counts for a book Asa read to me. He filled up the whole chart! Bryn got to have a shop at school. She chose a Harry Potter theme. "School's almost out" ice cream Creativity with Trios Asa rocked tumbling. He was so good and really enjoyed it. And he represented the male half of the human race with poise and dignity in class each week. Leah sang a solo in the school talent show! She practiced hard and did a great job! We LOVED Bryn's teacher last year. The last day of school we celebrated with a hike up the mountain and a picnic dinner.

Last Wednesday was Brynny's last day of tumbling for now, since school starts tomorrow. It was kind of sad to be done, for me at least, but we decided to be careful with the family schedule and try to keep it pretty open for now. If we really miss it a month down the road, we can always go back, right? Anyway, she did so great at it! She got strong and flexible, and continued to be our fearless Brynny. I was impressed with her meticulousness. Even if the exercises weren't anything particularly fun or cool, she tried her best and did them well, and seemed to enjoy it. Here she is on her last day. When tumbling was done I gave her a big hug and told her how proud I am of her, and then let her watch these videos and see what she can do. She could not stop smiling while she watched! Bryn has started a tumbling class. She goes once a week and has since February. Leah and I love to go and watch her. I am surprised pretty much every time with the progress she is making. Her flexibility and coordination and confidence seem to improve every single week, and I think she's really enjoying it. These photos and the video are from February. Just last week she totally nailed her backwards roll for the first time. I was all ready to do high fives and dance around in celebration, but she hardly even glanced in my direction and nonchalantly moved on to cartwheels. That's our Brynny. Bonus: biking on the driveway on a Sunday afternoon. I like her solution to the bows+helmet problem.
