Running Camp

One of our good friends is an amazing, record-breaking sort of runner. For the past couple summers she's been doing a running camp for kids. This year Addison was old enough to go, and after much careful consideration, he decided he was game to give it a shot. Nate and I thought it would be good for him to do something hard and sweaty and also to practice being a good sport. We went to practice twice a week, and it was conveniently located at the coolest park in the world. It's like space camp, man! All sorts of spinny, high, insane toys that I thought had been universally outlawed by the time I hit the age of ten or so. The three younger kids enjoyed the mornings we spent there, and therefore, so did I. The big race was last Saturday. A one-mile race at Clinton Days. We caught wind of the fact that it was a super hero-themed race, and that the kids could wear costumes. The boy was thrilled, and had very big plans.
