The Chapel Floor Seems To Say To Me...

I went to sacrament meeting by myself today, since Michelle was home with a couple sick kids. I chose a rather prominent seat, third row from the front and dead center of the chapel. During the sacrament, I dropped my pen through the crack between the seat and the back of the bench. Not having Addison around to crawl under there and pick it up, I leaned forward and reached back under the bench to grab it. It was farther back there than I thought, and I had to extend a little further than I expected. A little further than my center of gravity allows for, it turns out. Next thing I know I'm falling nose-first into the carpet, then lying on my side, half curled up, arm extended, cheek impressed in the floor. I'm only lying there for a nanosecond before jumping back up and sitting in my seat. A Big Surprise

After Christmas, Nate told me to get excited, because he had one more surprise for me. To say I love surprises is an understatement. You could give me a new toothbrush and call it a surprise and I would be thrilled. He would only give me two clues about it - it'd keep us busy all weekend and there was no way I could possibly get too excited. I racked my brain and the only two possible things I could think of that fit the bill were: a) my parents coming b) a new bookshelf. New Year's Eve came and we spent the morning cleaning the house so we could "enjoy the surprise," which knocked on the door just as we finished. I was flabbergasted to find Shauna, Doug, and this little cutie there to spend the weekend! We haven't seen them since they moved to Oregon a few days after Bryn was born.
