Gender Reveal Cupcakes

Back in March, Nate and I went in for our big ultrasound for baby #5. Inspired by my sister Shauna's family, we'd decided with the kids that we'd wait to find out the gender until we were all together. The radiologist was a good sport and played along. She wrote the gender on a card and sealed it in an envelope. After the ultrasound was done, Nate and I went back to the car and managed to send a picture of the card to my sister Brianna, with our eyes closed! Skills, I tell you. Actually we sent a picture of the wrong card first, and it was blank, so there was a lot of confusion. But then we located the right one and it all got worked out. Brianna works at a bakery, and she went right to work on some cupcakes, filling them with either pink or blue frosting - nobody knew which it would be! Memorial Day Weekend

Memorial Day weekend found us in St. George with Nate's family. It was a good trip with lots of time to hang out and do fun things with them. We visited the carousel, the park and the splash pad, and Grandma and Grandpa were kind enough to let Nate and I sneak out several times for little dates like running and the bookstore. I didn't get many pictures of the day to day fun, but here are a few from some outings we went on. It was a great trip. I told Nate while we were planning the trip that I really wanted to go up Pine Valley Mountain and see some woods. He made it happen and on Sunday we headed up with the fam. It was beautiful.
