Asa's 5th Birthday

Image
Asa is five years old now! We had a great time celebrating our little buddy back in April. As a family we went to Rush Funplex, which is his version of heaven. We all agreed it was totally awesome. I cannot express how much delight this video brings to my heart. These are my favorite people. And I feel like they look so grown up! He also had his first friend party. It was fun to have his buddies over. He loves all things outer space, so that was the theme for his party. Pin the rocketship on the moon Addison was in charge of running the astronaut training program. Let me tell you, he sold it! Those kids were so pumped to become astronauts! The cupcakes were supposed to look like teeny solar systems. Lots of fun presents. Later that day there were family presents to open. We have reached maximum coolness level. And a birthday supper, fettucine alfredo with shrimp in it, just like last year. It's...

Bryn's 8th Birthday

Image
It's hard to believe, but Bryn is an eight-year-old! Her birthday was on the 27th. The waffles tell it like it is. It was a great day. She and I went on a date that morning, then Dad surprised her and showed up with 8 balloons at lunchtime.  After lunch it was all business for me and the kids because we had a party to set up! Everybody helped out and we had a lot of fun getting ready for it together.  It was a water party, and so we set up the slip-n-slide and wading pool, and put a sprinkler under the trampoline. That's all it took for Bryn and her friends to go to town. They had so much fun playing together!  After about an hour we had presents and cake and ice cream and followed it up with a water balloon toss and more playtime. After her friends went home, Bryn and the other kids played with her new toys for awhile, and then some members of the Primary presidency came over to talk to Bryn about her bapti...

Leah's Fifth Birthday

Image
Look at this girl! Five years old and cute, creative, and crazy smart! I cannot believe that kindergarten is on the horizon for her. Whatever will I do without her at home next school year? For Leah's fifth birthday, we pulled out the big guns and had a friend party. It was fun to get it all ready with her and the older kids. She decided to theme it around bunnies, so we made bunny invitations, bunny sugar cookies to frost, and a sweet pin the tail on the bunny game thanks to Trinity's artistry. We fished for candy bunnies, stuck bunny cling-ons on the window,  and the kids put on bunny ears and hunted for their missing carrots. It was a bunny extravaganza, and it went really well. Lots of friends came and it was fun to watch them all playing outside on the tramp and swingset. These guys were awesome party helpers. Addison was in charge of pin the tail, and Bryn was in charge of the fishing game. They rocked it! ...
