Christmas Eve and Christmas 2019

Well this post has been a long time coming! For your viewing pleasure, a whole ton of pictures of Christmas Eve and Christmas at our house. With a little bit of captionage.

My 35th(!) birthday! Woohoo!

Addison elfing it up. He busted out the power tools for his gift to Nate.

Asa and Addison busted out a breakfast casserole so we could have things ready to rock on Christmas morning.

Emmie was simply a delight. Her nursery leader made her that teeny little sock monkey for Christmas. So sweet!

We broke with tradition and decided to have fondue for our Christmas Eve meal. It was a hit, and easy, and so fun!

It went without incident until the boys decided it would be fun to dip entire baked potatoes in the sauce . . .

Then it was time for presents for each other. We each drew a name, just like always. Bryn got Leah this cute hat and used Nate's scroll saw and drill to make her some beautiful beads from aspen bark from a tree we cut down in our yard. I was so impressed with her creativity!

Asa made Addison some Lego challenge cards and got him a giant candy bar.

Nate made me the very best gift a girl could ever hope for. He sewed these two bags full of rice so that I can microwave them each night and keep my feet warm! Seriously. The best gift ever.

Emmie consulted on Bryn's present, which was a pocket organizer for her bed.

Leah sewed Emmie a purse and filled it with treasures!

I got Asa a giant Nerds rope and some fuzzy teddy bear slippers.

Addison wrapped this enormous empty box for Nate (empty except a paper that said something about getting roasted . . .), had him open it, and then ran and retrieved his actual present. A candy dispenser for his office.

And then it was time for "sleep."

Up and at 'em bright and early on Christmas morning!

He came!

We had a quick and yummy breakfast so we could get to those presents!

Nate was able to get Bryn one of the first ten print copies of Saints Volume two in the world! She devoured volume one and was thrilled with the gift.

Nate has a friend from work whose spouse makes amazing game pieces for a living. He hooked us up with some amazing minifigures for Addison.

Santa brought me the second best gift a girl could ever ask for (after the rice bags). A robot vacuum!

A beautiful white Christmas.

Electric scooters!

 Living her best life.

Asa loves his shark, and named him Finn. We had a birthday party for him the next day.

After Asa did his space puzzle, he just had to put on his astronaut costume and go on a space walk.
