Crazy Hair Day, Takes 1 and 2

One April morning, as we hustled to get the kids to school, Bryn declared, "Mom! It's crazy hair day!" Well we had about 45 seconds to get to the car if we were going to make it to school on time, so I did the best I could under the circumstances and left Addison to his own devices to figure it out. Leah was chief designer of her own hair as well. We got it done and breathed a sigh of relief as we pulled out of the driveway just in time.

That afternoon, while Asa and I were picking up the kids, I noticed that no one else seemed to have hair that was very crazy. Hmmm. Well the kids informed us that crazy hair day was, in fact, the following Friday. Bahahaha! I was actually surprised that they were so nonchalant about it. I remember once when I was in second grade and I thought we were supposed to dress up like what we wanted to be when we grew up. Turns out that was just for the first grade. Luckily my costume wasn't too elaborate, just an apron because I wanted to be a mom. Even still, I walked into my classroom that day and wanted to die of embarrassment as I whipped that apron off at light speed. Bryn did remove several of the mismatched bows that we'd put in her hair, but other than that, they were totally unfazed.

Owning it.

And here's round two, on actual crazy hair day. Cute little guys!
