We ate with reckless abandon while we were vacationing. The unspoken philosophy was, "if it looks good, it belongs in your mouth." We got back home and felt like fatties, but it was fun to splurge while we were away. Here's a sampler platter of some of the delicious edibles we enjoyed.
| We had a weenie roast back in the woods. |
| And finished it off with s'mores. |
| Bryn and Juliann enjoying our first watermelon of the summer. |
| Bryn must've been growing while we were there, because she ate about three helpings of everything at dinner every night. |
| Shauna whipped up this beauty for Juliann's fourth birthday. |
| It was rainbow colored inside. |
| We had Juje's party in the pavilion. I love the balloon garland. |
| Zaxby's. You can't visit Georgia without dining there. And our bro-in-law Sam just informed us that ZAXBY'S IS COMING TO UTAH!!! |
| Leah and Trevor were so darn cute this night! It was the first night that Beck, Ben, and co were around. They ate each other's food, fed each other, and were so happy. |
| Nate and I always like to visit the local bookstore when we go to Georgia. Afterwards we wanted to try something new for lunch, so we went to Little Italy, a pizzeria in the downtown area of my folks's town. It's been there since before I left home, but it was my first time ever eating there. The deliciousness required a second sampling a few days later, just to make sure we hadn't been dreaming. |
| Ice cream cake for Mom and Dad's anniversary. |
| And Dairy Queen, my beloved Dairy Queen. In high school my peeps and I would go there after every football or basketball game. Nothing rivals it. |
| Peking. A super good Chinese restaurant in Athens. Growing up we only went there on very special occasions. Mainly we scarfed Mom and Dad's leftovers after they'd been on dates. I went with Mom and Dad after I got my patriarchal blessing. |
| While we were there, Bryn was wandering around and got right behind our waiter who stepped back right onto her foot. She said "OWW!" loud enough to wake the dead in at least ten surrounding counties. And the poor waiter was very flustered and apologized about sixty times. We all got a good laugh out of it. |
| The other table. |
| Kaylyn, Grammie and Bryn making cookies. |
Perhaps now you understand why we felt like fatties by the end. But let's be serious, calorie counting and vacationing do not mix.

Also, your hair is adorable, Michelle. I can't get over it.
